Mara Gossack, artist

I fell in love with light as a young girl.  One morning my dad woke me up very early to watch the sunrise with him and it made a deep impression.  From there it was a meandering journey to find my way to stained glass.

From theatrical lighting designer to Montessori teacher and school owner to stay at home mama, there have been many twists and turns along the way, all of them wild and wonderful. 

​

For the first year and a half of the pandemic I homeschooled our son.  I was so thankful for the time I had at home with him, but I realized I also needed to find time and space of my own.

This brought me to my artistic passion and

Just Imagine Stained Glass came to be.

​

My favorite process is creating trees using improvisational design. I also love working with people to make one-of-a-kind original commissions.  ​
